Question 1

What is Rasayan Labs?

Accepted Answer

Rasayan Labs is an AI operating system for pharmaceutical drug discovery. It combines retrosynthesis, impurity prediction, ADMET/PK, patent search, molecular docking, OCSR, and chemistry-aware document intelligence (US patent protected) in one unified platform. It is powered by 105 specialized AI models trained on 1.3 billion reactions and 110 million patents.

Question 2

What is OCSR and how does Rasayan use it?

Accepted Answer

OCSR (Optical Chemical Structure Recognition) converts images, scans, and PDFs containing chemical structures into machine-readable formats like SMILES and InChI. Rasayan's OCSR module is built for real-world pharmaceutical documents — handling noise, skew, handwriting, and low-quality scans that defeat general-purpose tools.

Question 3

How does Rasayan predict impurities?

Accepted Answer

Rasayan's Predicted Impurities & Degradation module maps process impurities across likely side reactions and route-specific risk points. It identifies structural soft spots, degradation pathways, and instability alerts, enabling risk stratification for route selection and process development decisions — before a single synthesis attempt.

Question 4

What is the Rasayan document intelligence system?

Accepted Answer

Rasayan's US-patented document intelligence system extracts chemical structures, reactions, yields, equipment parameters, and failure records from any document — handwritten lab notebooks, patents, SOPs, batch records, and process engineering documents. It creates a chemistry-aware knowledge base that researchers can query in plain language, making decades of institutional knowledge searchable for the first time.

Question 5

How many molecules can Rasayan screen?

Accepted Answer

Rasayan can screen up to 1.3 trillion molecules for virtual screening campaigns. The platform indexes 250 million+ unique compounds from cross-referenced sources, with an additional 1.3 trillion molecules available on external infrastructure for large-scale screening against any target.

Question 6

Does Rasayan support ICH M7 mutagenicity assessment?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Rasayan's Mutagenicity & Regulatory Safety module provides ICH M7(R2)-aligned AMES mutagenicity prediction with structure-based alerts and interpretable reasoning signals. It generates exportable outputs for safety triage and early risk gating, directly supporting regulatory submissions.

Question 7

What is Darvi AI?

Accepted Answer

Darvi is Rasayan Labs' embedded scientific AI assistant, available across every platform workflow — synthesis planning, property prediction, patent search, document Q&A, and ELN entries. It provides context-aware guidance for chemistry, safety, patents, and document analysis without requiring separate prompting or tool-switching.

Question 8

What ADMET endpoints does Rasayan predict?

Accepted Answer

Rasayan provides 1,100+ ADMET and PK prediction endpoints covering absorption, distribution, metabolism, excretion, and toxicity. This includes solubility, permeability, CYP inhibition, hERG liability, plasma protein binding, half-life, mutagenicity, carcinogenicity, and organ-specific toxicity endpoints.
